  1. The start of the thriller opening sequence is effective and i particualrly like how the background images are slightly blurred and the images are all interlinked with one another. The diagetic sound at the start is effective with the noise from the birds and the typical noises expected in a park area. The trunk shot at 0.18 seconds is a strong and effective shot as it allows the audience to feel as though they are really there. It allows us to see the character more and gives us a better sense of what is happening. I like the noise made when the character is taking the pictures as it makes me think more about what she is taking a picture of and why. The jumo cuts int he middle around 0.46 seconds work well for being such a fast movement, it confuses me slightly about what is going on but this is a typical thriller convention, leaving the audience thinking. The use of close ups as the second main character is getting ready in the mornig are effective. The use of a slpit screen at 1.07 seconds works really well and shows that you have really thought through how you wnated to get this part across to the audience. The repeated scene at 1.43 seconds of the character getting ready in the morning works well as it leaves the viewer thinking as they have just seen this already, again another typical convention of a thriller. The endong of the opening sequence is good, the use of diagetic sound is effective again as there is nothing out of the ordinary happening, making the viewer feel comfortable and safe, whilst wondering still what is going to happen and what the story was behind the girl taking photos at the start. 2. The pace of the the clip is very fast moving and jumpy which makes it seem like it is happening in real time and the style of editing used is continuity so every clip blends in order into each other so when we see the main character getting ready it seems like a natural occurance and wonder why it has suddenly cut to this after the footage of the girl taking photos which is consistent with the thriller convention of strange things happening in ordinary situations. The diegetic sound of the people in the playground around her helps to emphasise the blurry and confusing images that are on the screen. The way that the jump cut to the scenes of the person getting ready helps to show the contrast between the lives of the two characters in the thriller of the girl seeming in a daze like state and the other character having a normal life.
